A little about the author: Mark David Harrington
I am a versatile, self-driven engineer with a lifelong passion for electronics, embedded systems, and practical problem-solving.
I was Born in 1964 in the Port of Aden, Saudi Arabia and lived in South Africa for over 13 years, I am now based in Bexleyheath, Kent, UK,
and have resided in the uk for the last 42 years
As an engineer on entry to the the UK I have carved a multifaceted career across numerous industries, grounded in hands-on expertise and a strong technical foundation.
Largely self-taught , although my dad started to teach me many skills from age 6 onwards with respect to electronics and engineering in general
Ive continually expanded knowledge through both formal education and practical experience and studied Electronics Servicing
(Radio and TV
) at Goldsmiths College Lewsiham UK , earning the respected City and Guilds 224 certification.
Further academic distinction I achieved at the University of Greenwich, where as an undergraduate I studied for a BSc (Honours) in Networking,
consistently achieving top marks.
My Additional qualifications include distinction-level results in Access Database Management from Pitman Training courses at Orpington College, and a
suite ,
of in-house training programs with industry leaders such as Motorola Communications, Panasonic, Sharp UK, Telefunken, Pioneer, and Sanyo.
My motivation is to re-establish business, stay in touch with cutting edge of technology as best as humanly possible , lping others informally
,
within reason , lending time and knowledge to assist people in technical and everyday challenges so that they become both awakened and aware
of now a highly unstable and challenging world we now face
My motto is , "Veni, vidi, vici" — "I came, I saw, I conquered" — and is reflective of my own determined, resilient approach to both life and work.
My ultimate goal is simple: To be the most professional and accomplished version of myself possible in as many areas in industy as humanly possible

A look at the types of compiler , Cad and other software I use
Pic Micro 16F88 development Board using Kicad. This includes all diagrams 3D views and has full tutorial notes with regards this
With SimulIDE you can run simulations on your electronic designs This also accepts your compiled hex code so that you can run real time sumulations on projects which use MCU
For compilation of code for MCU I use both MPLabX and Arduino which is C , C++ Based. Aditionally I will also use Proton Basic which is another excellent compiler for beginners who want to start programming PIC Micro
For compilation of code for desktop PC so that I can control embedded designs via RS232 , RS485 I use Nebeans and Java Swing You will find these projects on my git hub accounts
I additionaly use both MPLabX and Arduino IDE which is C , C++ Based. Aditionally I use Proton Basic for RAD , another excellent compiler windows based for beginners who want to start programming PIC Micro
For remote programming with devices attached to a network then this is by far the easiest tool to use My Current Raspberry Pi project is remotley located son a network with which I use a combination of langauges Visual code is the prefect tool for this which I also use for CSS , HTML when constructiing Websites along with Python
